To be sure,joy written on faces of chinese was parable.
But so to the relief over an envent tat marked their coming-out party as e first world power.
The latter,
the chinese comfirmed emphatically inolympic competition,
grabing 51 gold medals,
eclipsing the 36 won by world super power ,
The United States ,who finished second.
With this golden haul,
china became the first Asian nation since the modern olympic began in 1896.
To win the unofficail brown as the world's greatest olympic power.
"there were truly exceptional games"
international olympic commitee president jacques rogge said last night
as he announced the official end of 29th summer olympiad.
Beijing's olympics official,praised the athletes for 43 world records.
These games have been an unparalleled and unforgettable olympics.
